Privacy Policy – Aspen Flooring App

1. Introduction
Aspen Flooring (Pty) Ltd (“Aspen Flooring”, “Aspen”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of users of the Aspen Flooring mobile application (“the App”).
The App is a digital product catalogue intended primarily for Aspen Flooring representatives, customers, resellers, installers and other persons interested in Aspen Flooring products.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the App.
2. Personal Information
The Aspen Flooring App does not require users to register, create an account, log in, or provide their name, email address, telephone number or other personal information in order to use the App.
Aspen Flooring does not request or collect users’ names, email addresses, telephone numbers, physical addresses, contacts, precise location, financial information or other personally identifiable information through the current version of the App.
3. How the App Works
The App functions primarily as a digital product catalogue, allowing users to browse Aspen Flooring products, product images and related product information.
Use of the catalogue does not require users to identify themselves to Aspen Flooring.
Product information and images may be retrieved from cloud-based infrastructure, including Google Cloud services.
4. Technical Information and Cloud Services
Aspen Flooring uses Google Cloud infrastructure to host and deliver product images and other catalogue content used by the App.
When the App connects to these services, limited technical information may be processed automatically as necessary to deliver, secure and operate the service. This may include information ordinarily associated with an internet request, such as an IP address, device or request information and access timestamps.
Aspen Flooring does not use the App to collect this information for advertising, user profiling or direct marketing purposes.
The App does not currently use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs to track users’ behaviour.
5. Device Permissions
The App does not intentionally access personal information stored on a user’s device, such as contacts, photographs, microphone recordings or precise location.
Should future functionality require additional permissions, users will be informed through the appropriate device permission process and this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary.
6. Sharing and Sale of Personal Information
Aspen Flooring does not sell or rent users’ personal information.
The App does not provide personal information to third parties for behavioural advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-party infrastructure providers, including Google Cloud, may process limited technical information where necessary to provide their services.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Aspen Flooring App is primarily a business and product-information application and is not specifically directed at children.
The App does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children.
8. Data Protection
Aspen Flooring is committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable South African data-protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
As the current version of the App does not require users to create an account or submit personal information, Aspen Flooring does not maintain user accounts or associated personal profiles through the App.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Aspen Flooring may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including where the functionality of the App changes or where the App begins collecting or processing additional information.
Any updated Privacy Policy will be made available through the App and/or the publicly accessible webpage containing this Privacy Policy.
The effective date shown at the top of this Privacy Policy will indicate when the policy was last updated.
